Save the planet or...?

The Dems did it again they managed to stall a vote on offshore oil drilling and quickly called for an end to the legislative session, leaving the fuel cost problem hanging once again with no solution offered. Republicans refused to leave the floor and a heated debate began with the mics and cameras off, they continued as a sign of protest for more than five hours.

A recent editorial in the New Hampshire Union Leader says that recent polls show that more than 2/3 of Americans believe that we should be drilling for more oil, the editorial then goes on to ask why the Democrats won’t vote on an issue that so many Americans are in agreement on. House speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Larry Reid are desparate to keep the vote on oil drilling off the floor because they know they will lose the vote and they do not want the Republicans to get credit for the positive action in the lowering of gas and oil costs. The Dems, in stalling on one of the utmost issues affecting taxpayers in this country have clearly shown that political gain outweighs what is right for the American people.

Hmmmm....“I’m trying to save the planet; I’m trying to save the planet,” she says impatiently when questioned. “I will not have this debate trivialized by their excuse for their failed policy.” “I respect the office that I hold,” she says. “And when you win the election, you win the majority, and what is the power of the speaker? To set the agenda, the power of recognition, and I am not giving the gavel away to anyone.” We ask the Speaker, Save the Planet or Save Face???

Speak Now America!!! we want to hear from you.
