Pickens & Pelosi Are we talking, two peas in a pod?

I am sure many of you have been seeing the ads these days on TV with T. Boone Pickens hawking alternative energy as the way to go.  Now if you will,  span over to his new BFF Speaker Nancy Pelosi who recently shut down the discussion and vote in Congress on lifting the oil drilling ban and proceeded to close for vacation for the next five weeks.

Do you think the timing of these events were coincidental? Think again, folks.

T. Boone Pickens is the founder of Clean Energy Fuels Corp (CLNE) which is a natural gas fueling station company based out of California and Speaker Pelosi just happens to be the proud owner of approx. 22,000 shares of CLNE which she purchased during the initial offering back in May of 2007.  In addition to CLNE, Mr. Pickens is the country's biggest wind power developer. It is no surprise that he is at the forefront pushing Proposition 10 aka “The California Renewable Energy and Clean Alternative Fuel Act.”  Now in fairness, to give the benefit of the doubt, T. Boone Pickens is known as a patriotic guy who very well might have some good intentions of lowering the USA's dependence on foreign oil but the facts are the facts.  CLNE is the big winner with the Congress closing down the vote on lifting the ban on drilling and Speaker Pelosi with her hand in the till over at CLNE is in a definite conflict when banging the gavel down to stop that vote.

Shame on you Speaker Pelosi for putting your financial gain ahead of the hard working taxpayers of the United States of America.

In a future blog we can debate the realities of wind power being a viable alternative. It all sounds great but the debate is filled with much hot air and give us little in the way of solving future energy problems. We can look around and place blame in many directions but our problems lie close to home, they lie with our Congress. World Net Daily Editor Joseph Farah had a great plan outlined in the 8/12/08 issue of World Net Daily and it was really quite simple; "I want to bring Congress to its knees," he says. "I want to melt down their phones. I want to flood their e-mail boxes. I want to hold them as political hostages. The ransom demand is to unleash the free market to begin exploring and pumping domestic crude oil and getting it to market as fast as possible. We've got 73 days to make our voices heard. Let's make history by bringing this recalcitrant body of elitists into compliance with the will of the people and the rule of law."

Here is your chance, to stand up and be heard. Let's make a difference America!  Let's insist that the people we have elected to represent us do their job. Contact them today,
