Is the economy improving?
Is the economy improving? SpeakNowAmerica asked you that question on August 27th – “Do You Think The Economy Is Improving?”. We gave you some positive signs that the economy is improving. Here are more signs of economic improvement.
Hmmmmmmm…. I never heard this mentioned at the Democratic Convention? Why would they not want us to feel better and know that things are starting to improve? After the economy being down for so long isn’t the fact it is going up good news? Why not bring it to the people? Sadly, I know the answer to that. It serves the Democrats, Obama, Pelosi, and Reid better for us to suffer. They want us to think the end is near. It is more effective if we see them as our only saviors. It serves the Liberal Socialist Democrats like, Obama, Pelosi, and Reid better for us to suffer.
A 2nd Hmmmmmm…This is the same group against drilling for more oil. Pelosi wouldn’t let Congress vote on it. It would lower gas prices, we already know that. Obama has already said he doesn’t want lower gas prices either, he feels that we need only adjust the air pressure in our tires and get over it. I suppose in time, he will ride in on his white horse and save us. President Bush removed 1 obstacle to offshore drilling. The Republicans began pushing for more drilling and the markets reacted with that news and the price went down. Gas prices were down 10% from the high in July. That was approximately 44 cents lower since mid July. That is a substantial decrease! The price of crude oil has fallen over 20%.
Amazingly, Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently said nothing could be done, she said drilling wouldn’t help for 5 years, and then it changed to 7 years. Then to make sure that we, as a nation really stayed down she changed it to 10 years. Then she was quick to point out that even then, we will only save a penny or two at the pump.
There was one more thing that never came up at the Democratic Convention. The housing market was never mentioned. We have heard now for close to two years how bad the housing market has been. We have listened to the news and heard about the high rate of foreclosures. Nothing, but bad news. Now some good news, new home sales were up 2.4% in July!! Why wouldn’t they want to get that news out?
I already know the answer……do you? Let’s turn things around, let’s demand positive news, let’s look at the glass half full not half empty.
