V P Debate - Main Street Gov. Palin vs. Same Old Washington Sen. Biden

Plain Talk Gov. Palin & Washington Has It All Biden

The much anticipated debate is over and now people must decide who they think will really bring about the change in Washington that the American people have shouted loud and clear they want. The Vice Presidential debate showed the contrasts between the two candidates. Gov. Palin showed her Main Street real life, as liberal socialist Sen. Biden showed the same old Washington. Sen. Biden and Barack Hussein Obama seem to running against ghosts. Every answer for Sen. Biden started with the last 8 years…

Will it be the fresh faced, Washington outsider Gov. Sarah Palin or Sen. Joe Biden who has been entrenched in Washington for more than 30 years?

Evident from the very first question asked of Sen. Biden by moderator Gwen Ifill.

"As America watches these things happen on Capitol Hill, Senator Biden, was this the worst of Washington or the best of Washington that we saw play out?

He immediately began to blame the last eight years, the Bush Administration. We know that is not true, we have seen over and over again that it goes back further than eight years. Even former President Bill Clinton has stated publicly that the Democrats are at fault. The constant blaming of the past is not the answer to our future.

In contrast, Gov. Palin showed herself to be much more on the level of the American people, with her off the cuff comments. She made it easy to relate to her. In answering the first question, rather than place blame she referred to talking to “any soccer Mom on the sidelines” and asking them what they think about the economy and they will tell you they are in fear. She went on to say that we are in this economic predicament because of predator lenders who talked people into buying the $300,000 house when they could only afford the $100,000 home. When she said that; we could really relate, we have all talked at depth to our family, friends and co workers about the Economic crisis this past week. It has been uppermost on everyone’s minds. Blaming the past eight years is going to do nothing to help the current situation; Gov. Palin understands that blame is not a solution.

Early on in the debate she may have offended some Washington insiders, we could almost hear them *gasp* when she said this; “And I may not answer the questions that either the moderator or you want to hear, but I'm going to talk straight to the American people and let them know my track record also.” Later she went on to say, as a reference to some interviews in which she was taken out of context by creative editing, “I'd like to do more of these open forums, she says, "Without the filter of the main stream media telling viewers what they have just heard."

That is a perfect example of what John McCain calls his Maverick running mate. She is not going to go with the status quo, she is going to do what she thinks is right, she is going to do what she thinks the American people want and she is not afraid to do it.

Throughout the debate you had the feeling and a level of comfort with Gov. Palin. She was speaking directly to the American people, Sen. Biden was lecturing us. Gov. Sarah Palin is just like us, she is a Main Street dweller not a Washington insider.

America, we have a choice, Liberal Socialist Obama/Biden or the Mavericks McCain/Palin?

Speak Now America! we want to hear from you.

Why didn't Palin point out how much money Obama and Biden have received from Fannie & Freddie? Why didn't she show how it was the democrats who pushed Fannie and Freddie to loosen their credit standards?

This is not a Bush Administration problem. This goes directly back to the Clinton Administration, but beyond that it was the Democrats who refused tougher regulations on Freddie?

Why are McCain/Palin not making this known to the American people? Palin had the perfect set up question to show how corrupt Obama and Biden are and she blew it.

The word must get out. We cannot elect Obam!

I totally agree that todays Economic crisis extends farther back than the Bush administration yet the very first question asked in the debate last night Biden immediately prefaced his answer by saying it was the past 8 years.... Why McCain and Palin are not being tougher I don't understand myself. There is no doubt that John McCains honorable character has something to do with it but he will need to adjust when dealing with the likes of Barack Hussein Obama. Lets hope McCain is saving the best for last!
