Democrat or Republican, How Does The Work of ACORN Not Make You Angry?
ACORN has been referred to as community organizers, just like Barack Hussein Obama.
That says little about either one if we are to look deeply into the dealings of ACORN. ACORN employees have been convicted of voter fraud in many states. To think that we live in the United States and have the world watching us right now, awaiting the outcome of our Presidential election and here we are like some of the third world countries who have elections. We are left to deal with such obvious voter fraud, we allow it to happen before our very eyes and we do NOTHING about it. Why?
We are allowing the United States voting system to become a laughing stock of other countries. How as an American, (forget party affiliation, it should not matter) does this not anger you? Tell me why you as an American will allow your right to a free and fair election be tarnished by a radical group such as ACORN? Tell me how our system can allow such tactics that ACORN employs to be used to elect the highest of offices in our country, the President of the United States.
You have to have heard on the news and in the papers about what is happening in Ohio and others states right now. Here is an example of what is done and the accusations and subsequent convictions of ACORN employees.
"'Last year, The Seattle Times reported the biggest voter-registration fraud scheme in Washington history. Three ACORN employees pleaded guilty, and four more were charged for filling out and submitting more than 1,800 fictitious voter-registration cards during a 2006 registration drive in King and Pierce counties.' (Keith Ervin, 'Three plead guilty in fake voter scheme,' 10-30-2007)
This year, an ACORN employee in West Reading, PA, was sentenced for to up to 23 months in prison for identity theft and tampering with records. A second ACORN worker pleaded not guilty to the same charges and is free on $10,000 bail. "Those are convictions from the past year. There are also examples of indictments this year, such as the four ACORN employees in Kansas City charged with identity theft and filing false registrations during the 2006 election and the Reynoldsburg fellow indicted on two felony counts of illegal voting and false registration, after being registered by ACORN to vote in two separate counties. And there are current investigations into ACORN for voter fraud all over the map: the Milwaukee ACORN for 200 to 300 fraudulent voter registration cards; the Cleveland ACORN for its submission of 75,000 voter registrations, many of which are fraudulent; the New Mexico ACORN, which claims to have taken 72,000 new voter registrations in the state since January, is under suspicion for 1,100 possibly fraudulent voter registration cards turned in to the Bernalillo County clerk's office recently.
Most of us, have to register to vote 30 days in advance of the election. We must prove our identity, our citizenship, our address. However, in some states the fight over requiring a photo ID to vote has gone as far as the Supreme Court. Our Supreme Court Justices need to be burdened with something as silly as this?
MSNBC reported 04/28/08: The Supreme Court ruled Monday that states can require voters to produce photo identification without violating their constitutional rights, validating Republican-inspired voter ID laws. In a splintered 6-3 ruling, the court upheld Indiana's strict photo ID requirement, which Democrats and civil rights groups said would deter poor, older and minority voters from casting ballots. Its backers said it was needed to prevent fraud.
The argument from the left is that disenfranchised poor people should not be excluded from voting just because they do not have a photo ID. This sounds pretty bogus because if we are protecting the poor then the argument might be, don't these people have to have identification in order to get benefits such as welfare, medicaid etc? Surely they must prove who they are in order to cash a government welfare check. If they don't then we already have a bigger problem. It is nothing but pure laziness to not get a photo ID, ok, you do not have to pay to get a drivers license I think most motor vehicle offices will provide a photo id for free or for a very nominal cost. The whole argument is just bull! We are breaking someones constitutional rights because they have to show ID to vote in a US election? If that is the case why don't we let foreigners vote, illegal immigrants and the like? We wouldn't want to violate their rights and exclude them now would we?
Let's talk about Ohio and ACORN. The State Supreme court upheld the right to allow same day voter registration/votes. This means that the 6 days prior to October 6th people could register to vote and vote at the same time. Here is where the problem lies. ACORN employees fill out an absentee ballot for someone walking down the street, no ID is required. They can simply write name, address and date of birth and instead of requiring proof of that, they need to just write down the last 4 digits of their SS number. There is no documentation or ID required to prove any of the information written on the ballot, not even the SS number.
Now millions upon millions of these ballots are collected during this 6 day period, because ACORN sends out an army of people to get people to register and vote. Now with only 30 days left prior to the election of course there is not the manpower to verify these ballots. It simply cannot be done. It is always much later when they find that so many are fraudulent. Long after the election has taken place.
This is what we call a free and fair election America?
We allow corrupt criminal groups like ACORN to take away our right to a free and fair election process? We allow criminals to register anyone, just anyone to vote in our election for highest office? There is no justification for this, voting is a right of ours as Americans. A Presidential election occurs once every four years, there is no reason that we cannot demand of every person, proper identification giving them that right to vote.
This is not about disenfanchising the poor or the elderly, surely we can come up with a better way. We can require all the states to do photo IDS for free, let the government pay for this. You cannot convince me that in the matter of every day living, shopping, doctor visits these people cannot find the time to get an ID and show the proper identification.
This news report on Fox is disturbing, I know that it has been reported that Barack Obama has close ties to this ACORN group. However, in this past tumultuous week while we waited to find out what was going to happen with the Economic Bailout Bill we heard about this criminal group ACORN being included in this 700+ billion dollar bailout. People were outaged! Representative and Senators reported record phone calls and emails demanding that the part of the bill be removed. Listen to this Fox News Report:
"The draft bill includes a left-wing giveaway that would force taxpayers to bankroll a slush fund for a discredited ally of the Democratic Party," reads one leadership alert. "At issue is ACORN, an organization fraught with controversy for, among other scandals, its fraudulent voter registration activities on behalf of Democratic candidates. Rather than returning any profits made in the long-term from the economic rescue package, Democrats want to first reward their radical allies at ACORN for their (often illegal) help in getting Democrats elected to office."
Sen Barney Frank stated that no money was going to go to ACORN, here's Frank's one-page summary of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund and to find the relevant bill go here and search for H.R. 2895.
Here's the relevant language in Sec. 105. TRANSFER OF A PERCENTAGE OF PROFITS. DEPOSITS. Not less than 20 percent of any profit realized on the sale of each troubled asset purchased under this Act shall be deposited as provided in paragraph (2). USE OF DEPOSITS. Of the amount referred to in paragraph (1) 65 percent shall be deposited into the Housing Trust Fund established under section 1338 of the Federal Housing Enterprises Regulatory Reform Act of 1992 (12 U.S.C. 4568); and 35 percent shall be deposited into the Capital Magnet Fund established under section 1339 of that Act (12 U.S.C. 4569).
REMAINDER DEPOSITED IN THE TREASURY. All amounts remaining after payments under paragraph (1) shall be paid into the General Fund of the Treasury for reduction of the public debt. And here's Frank's one-page summary of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund and to find the relevant bill go here and search for H.R. 2895.
State and local governments can then dole out the funds and could send money to ACORN if they so choose and if the organization's efforts meet the standards set out in the law. For their stand against the provision, Adamske tweaked House Republicans, who have long called for more state control of federal funds.
"Are they worried that the Governor of Alaska and the Mayor of Wasilla will give money to Acorn?" Frank asked.
The wisecrack from Barney Frank did little to appease the House Repblicans who said Sec.105 must be removed or they will not vote for it and the Democrats will have to rally enough votes themselves to get it past.
Question? Why would the Democrats include a corrupt ACORN as part of the Bailout Plan anyway?
America, you better wake up and start connecting the dots here before it is too late.
Voter Fraud....criminal activity.... ACORN .......of which OBAMA........ is closely associated with .......the Democrats and a ........Bail Out Plan that further funds this criminal group.
Is this leading somewhere? Or is this just a coincidence? Can you honestly say that based on the reports of how our election is being handled and the fairness and the corruption involved that you will walk away on November 4th feeling like you as an American got to cast your vote and whoeever wins the election will have done so fairly and squarely?
I don't feel that way now, I am sure I for one, knowing what I know will not be feeling that way come election day. I am angry, I have rights too and I demand that only elgible voters get to vote in this election. I am not going to allow ineligible voters and corrupt organizations like ACORN to take my rights away to a free and fair election.
Speak Now America! we want to hear from you.
