Bailout Bill Turns to Fat & Pork
The economic bailout bill passed last Friday, was loaded with fat and pork. Just, who did this bailout bill help exactly? Did it help you and me, the poor taxpayers? Not really considering the bill spends over $700 billion taxpayer dollars. Does it help the liberal socialist Democrats? Yes it does, in 2 ways. First, along with the liberal socialist press the Democrats blame the Republicans for this crisis. Second, the Democrats are saving us by socializing the housing industry and spending more of YOUR money.
Since the liberal socialist Democrats and press blame the Republicans, why doesn’t Bill Clinton? In 1994 Clinton’s Department of Housing and Urban Development tried to impose new regulations on Fannie Mae, but was stopped by Barney Frank. Clinton now blames the Democrats for today’s economic crisis. Clinton said, “I think the responsibility that the Democrats have may rest more in resisting Republicans in the Congress or by me when I was President, to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.”
The fat and pork in this bill is insane and this is after it was trimmed! The liberal socialist movie and television industry got a new tax break so they can continue to distort the truth and tell lies. I forgot, what am I thinking, of course they would be included in the Bail out plan, and they are heavy contributors to the liberal socialist Democrats. Cost to taxpayers $478 million.
Let’s all take a look at the Economic Bailout Plan passed for OUR benefit so we know what we should be thankful for. We now have a tax credit from $2,500 to $7,500 for the purchase of plug in electric drive vehicles. Golf cart sales will skyrocket the problem is they won’t get us to work. Is there a silver lining? Sure there s, the golf cart industry can now donate millions to liberal socialist politicians now. Cost to taxpayers $758 million.
Bicycle riders celebrate! Employers can now be exempt from taxation on what they spend on you, bicycle riders. An example of this exemption is the cost of parking for bicycle riders. We aren’t sure where the logic lies in this one, maybe you will. I ride a bicycle because I think it is healthy to do so and because of that my employer now gets a tax exemption? New York City companies must be smiling at their upcoming windfall of tax exemptions. Cost to taxpayers $2 million + (we know that will grow)
Puerto Rican and Virgin Island rum were not left out, No sir. We pay an excise tax on every bottle of rum we buy. Our government in all of its new found generosity is going to rebate that money back to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Cost to taxpayers $192 million.
These are called sweeteners folks and they were added to the Economic Bailout bill to get the bill passed thru the liberal socialist Democratic House. Is anyone at all surprised that the only way to get the bill passed was by adding all this liberal socialist Democratic pork? You know that Economic Bailout bill that we were told was absolutely essential to SAVE our economy, the same one we were told about that if it wasn’t passed we could no longer buy cars or put our children in college?
The Democrats keep blaming this economic crisis on President Bush and the Republicans. Why then does the proof keep pointing back at the Democrats? Why does the liberal socialist press help put the blame on the Republicans and not put blame on the Democrats? Is it because the press loves the social engineering that the liberal socialist Democrats are trying to institute in the United States? For those of you, who do not know social engineering it is the politically correct term for socialism.
Why isn’t Barney Frank being investigated? The liberal socialist Frank was on the powerful House Banking Committee and is now the chairman, they have jurisdiction over Fannie Mae. Through the 1990’s the liberal socialist Barney Frank continually fought for deregulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Franks live in partner; during the 1990’s was Herb Moses who at that time served as the Assistant Director for product initiatives at Fannie Mae.
Would the liberal socialist press be demanding an investigation and the resigning of a Republican who happened to have a live in partner working for Fannie Mae, when that Republican was in charge of overseeing Fannie Mae? Of course they would and they have done so for much less. How many front page articles and television lead stories would there be if it were a Republican with this conflict of interest? We have all seen how vicious the press and television news is to Republicans, yet they lay down when the Democrats do their dirty politics.
Back to the new Economic Bailout Plan, we do have something to be thankful for in this bill. Really, we do. The liberal socialist Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats didn’t get one piece of pork they had put in the original bill that was defeated in the House. One fat piece of pork was the money the liberal socialist Democrats wanted to give to the corrupt socialist organization known as ACORN. They wanted them to get 20% of any money the government got back in the bailout.
YES AMERICA 20% to ACORN. The very same ACORN, that helped cause the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The one and only ACORN who registers thousands of illegal and fictitious people to vote. They are the same ACORN who uses your tax dollars to corrupt elections and the very same ACORN who liberal socialist Barack Hussein Obama worked for. This is the ACORN that Barack Hussein Obama trained to use their corrupt, unethical, and at times illegal tactics and as repayment, ACORN helped Obama steal Illinois elections. It is also the ACORN that Barack Hussein Obama has given over $800,000 to this year and in repayment ACORN is trying to steal the election for Obama in Ohio and other states.
America open your eyes. The primary culprits in the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and banking collapse are the Democrats. Did some Republicans make some mistakes? A resounding YES. But, time after time the liberal socialist Democrats hindered bills to regulate and oversee Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The liberal socialist Democrats were playing their favorite game…social engineering. They knew eventually the pressure they were putting on lending institutions would cause calamity.
AMERICA the liberal socialist Democrats didn’t care then and they don’t care now. The Democrats don’t care if you and I suffer because if they did they never would have taken a 5 week vacation with gas prices soaring and left Congree with us in such a mess. Working to get a pair of scarpe Hogan that we enjoy is easy - but trying to acquire one that is comfortable is not. When I was young I used to buy Hogan scarpe donna that had a great design without trying them on beforehand. I figured that as long as they were in my right size I was ok.
