Saving America Part 3

America we at SpeakNowAmerica.org and SpeaknowConservatives.org have heard you.  We have read your letters to YourVoice and we understand your concerns and fears rearding the direction the politicians are now taking our great country.  Together as one very loud voice we can make a change.

This preamble is but a start.  We want to hear your ideas and suggestions regarding what we want and expect our politicians to do.  We want your input regarding the direction we want this great country to go in.  We want to make this preamble for us the people to demand of these politicians who represent us to know we expect they will abide by it.

America we hear you and understand your fears about what's happening in America today.  Each of us need to tell our friends, our neighbors, and our families to join us, unite with us and make America great once again.

Let there be no mistake, a revolution will be required to restore America.  But this will be a revolution that can be fought with the weapons of words, truth, and democracy.  This is not a call for arms or violence, it is a call to once again as did our forefathers to bring ourselves back to core principles and values.  Treachery, deceit, and treason abound from those who profess allegiance to America.  Truth, the “first penalty in war," is in short supply and now America we must make it our guiding light.

We The People in Order to form a more perfect Congress, establish trust of the people, insure fair and honest representation and promote the interest of the citizens of this United States hereby propose the following amendments to the rules of Congress.

The New Congressional Preamble

 To be signed by the men and women who want to hold office in our Congress who commit to the people to whom they have been elected to represent and to be bound by the terms of this document.

1. Term limits.  Three - 2 year terms for Representatives.  One - 6 year term for Senators.

2. Limit campaign contributions.  A maximum contribution of $250 by any one person’ family, or company.  The limit of $2 million dollars for House races.  The limit of $4 million for Senate races.  The limit of $100 million for Presidential races.

3. Limit Political Action Committees from supporting any candidate.  They can support ideas and causes not candidates.

4. Restore Social Security.  Take the social security contributions out of the general federal fund and into an untouchable separate fund.  Any contributions over the maximum allowed for races would be put into the Social Security fund.

5. Restore Medicare.  Take the Medicare contributions out of the general fund and into a separate untouchable fund.

6. Strong military budget.

7. Balanced budget except during times of war.

8. Reduce corporate and personal income taxes to promote growth.

9. Drill for oil and gas.  Use nuclear energy.

10. Restore integrity and morals in Washington, DC.

11. No new legislation voted on until at least 96 hours after the last amendment.

12. No pork.  Any Congressman or Senator sponsoring or voting for pork lose 10% of his office budget for each bill he votes for.

13. No one can hold elected or appointed office who has not paid his taxes promptly or is under any legal investigations.

14. Promote a strong educational system.

15.  All appointees in important policy positions i.e. czars must be vetted and approved by the Senate.         

America this is the beginning.  This is the rough draft of an outline of what we should expect from our elected officials.  Further it is the minimum we should demand from our elected officials.
