Is Obama’s Indecision Costing American Troops Lives?

America are we to believe that Obamacare has to be passed immediately and our young men and women dying in Afghanistan can wait?  Obamacare won’t go into effect until 2013, yet has to be passed today.  Troops are dying today and elitist progressive Barack Hussein Obama’s indecision is letting more troops die.

As a Presidential candidate, Obama denounced the war in Iraq and America's strategy there. Obama vowed if elected to draw down troops and send them to Afghanistan to address the growing threat from al-Qaida and the Taliban. "There is no military solution in Iraq," Obama said.

Robert Gibbs White House spokesman said that whatever course Obama chose would be consistent with his pledge during the campaign to treat Afghanistan as the central front in the war on terrorism. "There isn't a military solution alone to any of this," Gibbs said, but rather "a series of solutions."

Retired Gen. James Jones said that Afghanistan is not in imminent danger of falling to the Taliban, and he downplayed fears that the insurgency could set up a renewed sanctuary for al-Qaida. General McChrystal has said that insurgents are gaining ground and the U.S. is in danger of failing unless more forces are sent to the fight.
Jones added that it is "better for military advice to come up through the chain of command," rather than off a public stage, referring to McChrystal's speech in London last week making a case for more troops. 

 General McChrystal gave his assessment to Secretary of Defense Robert Gates in August.  A month later nothing had been done.  In fact Gates was still holding the request.  American troops are dying.

General McChrystal's stark assessment of the war, which was leaked, has set off a flurry of counter-leaks in US newspapers with unnamed officials in the White House voicing skepticism about escalating the American commitment.  The question should be why the request had to be leaked; we are talking about Americans being killed.
