Obama Stimulus Working As He Planned

Initial jobless applications rose to 531,000.  Economists project the unemployment rate will reach 10 % by the first quarter of 2010.  Companies cutting costs remain reluctant to hire.

“Until demand turns around, businesses have to continue to cut costs,” said Joshua Shapiro, chief U.S. economist at Maria Fiorini Ramirez Inc., a New York forecasting firm. “We remain pessimistic on consumer spending.”

The unemployment rate rose to 9.8 % in September , a 26 year high, from 9.7 %, the department said earlier this month, as employers cut 263,000 jobs. The recession has eliminated a net total of 7.2 million jobs.  Forty-nine states and territories reported an increase in claims. Florida led states showing a gain with a jump of 9,976 that reflects more firings in construction, services and manufacturing.  

Nevada, Rhode Island and Florida last month posted their highest jobless rates on records dating to 1976, the department said. Fifteen states and Washington, D.C., are reporting unemployment rates of 10 % or more.

Michigan reported the nation's highest unemployment rate at 15.3 %. It was followed by Nevada at 13.3 %, Rhode Island at 13 %, California at 12.2 % and South Carolina at 11.6 %.

Elitist progressive Barack Hussein Obama tells us the stimulus package is working.  Obama also told us that with the stimulus package unemployment wouldn’t go over 8%.  Obama keeps talking about all the jobs created and saved.  If he isn’t lying how can unemployment keep climbing?

Unfortunately the stimulus package is doing just what Obama planned.  Obama and the Democrats want the economy to collapse.  That has been their plan all along.  Have the people suffering and they can pass their socialist agenda.  After they pass their socialist agenda they will control you.
