Are The Republicans Ready To Lead America?
Does The Republican Leadership Have Conservative Values?
The largest voting bloc in America today is the Independents. America today doesn’t want Democrat light or RINO’s. Over 40% of Americans consider themselves conservative. Does the republican leadership have conservative values?
The elitist progressive main stream media says the Republican Party can’t survive unless they have a broader tent. The RINO’s say too that you have to have a big tent. Yes you need a broad tent and bring as many people into your party as possible.
The way to build a strong national party is not losing your core values and ethics to do it. A broad tent is possible without destroying the core concepts, ethics, morals, and Christian values. Done properly you can have a strong diverse party and maintain the conservative values that bring you together.
The Republican Party at present has no strong leadership. Not to say there aren’t many strong leaders in the Party, but none in the forefront steering the course. Not since the Presidency of Jimmy Carter has the Republican Party had an opportunity like now.
The Democrats are destroying the economy. They are destroying our national defense.
America is not as safe as it was a year ago. We are close to socialized health care if something isn’t done. America doesn’t want the Democrats plan for change.
Polls show a majority of registered independents say they would likely vote Republican rather than Democratic, 52% to 30%, if elections for Congress were held today. With Republicans and Democrats exhibiting the same degree of loyalty to their parties’ candidates, independents’ preference for Republicans gives that party a 48% to 44% edge over Democrats among registered voters overall.
Is the Republican Party ready to exhibit the ethics, core Christian values, and conservative economic values that America wants? Is there someone in the Republican Party to give the leadership needed to guide and lead the Grand Ole Party back to strength?
The 2010 elections are less than a year away. The Republican Party needs no more stupid mistakes like were made in the New York Congressional race. No more calling ultra liberals moderates. No more letting the RINO’s set the agenda and tone.
This past summer sna ran a series on Saving America. We at that time in the series suggested a new Congressional Preamble.
The New Congressional Preamble
To be signed by the men and women who want to hold office in our Congress who commit to the people to whom they have been elected to represent and to be bound by the terms of this document.
1. Term limits. Three - 2 year terms for Representatives. One - 6 year term for Senators.
2. Limit campaign contributions. A maximum contribution of $250 by any one person’ family, or company. The limit of $2 million dollars for House races. The limit of $4 million for Senate races. The limit of $100 million for Presidential races.
3. Limit Political Action Committees from supporting any candidate. They can support ideas and causes not candidates.
4. Restore Social Security. Take the social security contributions out of the general federal fund and into an untouchable separate fund. Any contributions over the maximum allowed for races would be put into the Social Security fund.
5. Restore Medicare. Take the Medicare contributions out of the general fund and into a separate untouchable fund.
6. Strong military budget.
7. Balanced budget except during times of war.
8. Reduce corporate and personal income taxes to promote growth.
9. Drill for oil and gas. Use nuclear energy.
10. Restore integrity and morals in Washington, DC.
11. No new legislation voted on until at least 96 hours after the last amendment.
12. No pork. Any Congressman or Senator sponsoring or voting for pork lose 10% of his office budget for each bill he votes for.
13. No one can hold elected or appointed office who has not paid his taxes promptly or is under any legal investigations.
14. Promote a strong educational system.
15. All appointees in important policy positions i.e. czars must be vetted and approved by the Senate.
America this is the beginning. This is the rough draft of an outline of what we should expect from our elected officials. Further it is the minimum we should demand from our elected officials. United America we’re strong and can make this happen.
We want and need leaders with conservative Christian ethics and values. Are there any Republicans ready to take the gauntlet?
