States Now Have Commissions On Health Care Rates

The pre Obamacare show started Monday.  Barack Hussein Obama released his version of Obamacare socialized health care.  The first part leaked out is the federal government taking away more states rights.  Obama wants to control health care insurance premiums.

Obama’s latest Obamacare went on the internet Monday morning at 10 AM.  Focusing on the effort to tighten regulation of insurance costs, a new element not included in either the House or Senate bills, Mr. Obama is seizing on outrage over recent premium increases of up to 39 percent announced by Anthem Blue Cross of California and moving to portray the Democrats’ health overhaul as a way to protect Americans from profiteering insurers.

The State of California has an Insurance Commission as do all states.  That commission on the state level can look at any rate increase proposals and determine if they are needed.  That is what State Insurance Commissions do.  It is not the federal government’s job.  Obama doesn’t need to hand pick more corrupt socialists to decide our insurance rates.

Congressional Republicans have long denounced the Democrats’ legislation as a “government takeover” of health care. The Republicans should resist any expansion of federal authority over existing state regulators.

Senate Minority Leader McConnell said that Obama, in proposing a new version of the Democrats’ legislation, seemed to prejudging the outcome of the session. “If they are going to lay out the plan they want to pass four days in advance,” he said on Fox, “What are we discussing on Thursday?”

"The fundamental point I want to make is the arrogance of all of this. You know, they are saying: 'Ignore the wishes of the American people. We know more about this than you do. And we're going to jam it down your throats no matter what.' That is why the public is so angry at this Congress and this administration over this issue," said McConnell.

 “If we took a vote now, we would not have 51 votes for that approach,” said a Senate Democratic aide. “The president would have to do a major sales job. He is the only person who has the political capital to do it. But his focusing on health care means that our efforts to focus on jobs are likely to be drowned out.”

Obama’s plan for Obamacare is the Senate boondoggle taking away some of the pork given to Senators to buy their vote.  Obama refuses to listen to the American people.  Not even all of the Democrats in the Senate without arm twisting and backroom deals will vote for Obamacare.
