Obama Agenda Tax And Spend




Socialist Barack Hussein Obama is playing another of his word games.   Some of his pundits throw out something as this time VAT tax.   Obama says oh no I haven’t thought of that.  Now a few days later Obama is saying well a Vat tax is on the table and a novel idea.  VAT Tax is a very regressive hidden tax.  Socialist Democrats can raise it at any time and you just see a slight increase in cost of goods.

On CNBC's Street Signs, Obama appeared with John Harwood who said, "If reducing consumption is a good idea, could you see the potential for a value-added tax in this country?"

Obama responded, "That is something that has worked for some countries. Uhhhh, it's something that would be novel for the United States.  And before, you know, I start saying this makes sense or that makes sense, I want to get a better picture of what our options are -- and my first priority is to figure out: How can we reduce wasteful spending so that, you know, we have a baseline of the core services that we need and the government should provide; and then we decide how do we pay for that, as opposed to figuring out how much money we can raise and then, uh, not have to make some tough choices to the spending side."

The word games continue.  Tossing out these hints of where Obama is headed but setting it up to look like it isn't his idea and he really doesn't want to have to do it.  Gibbs was asked about the VAT tax after Obama spoke.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs answer was, "I think I directly answered this the other day by saying that it wasn't something that the president had under consideration."

In the CNBC interview, Obama said he was waiting for recommendations from a bipartisan fiscal advisory commission on ways to tackle the deficit and other problems. Bottom line he's waiting to hear what Andy Stern of the SEIU thinks we ought to do to reduce the deficits.

What happened to Obama’s “no taxes for those making less than $250,000?”  VAT tax is a consumption tax.  This is the most regressive type of tax.  This tax hits the low end wage earners and the middle class the hardest.

Obama is setting the groundwork to introduce the VAT tax.  He will attempt to do this as he always does by letting someone else be the fall guy.  Obama then will say it “wasn’t me” it was that big bully that made me do it.
