The Myth Of Business Taxes
Do Businesses Pay Taxes?
Is it truth or myth that businesses pay income taxes? One of the biggest myths in Washington is business taxes. Congress lies to America every day about business taxes.
On the floor of the House and Senate, on sound bytes for the television news, and main stream media we hear our elected Representatives and Senators talk about businesses need to pay their share of taxes. The demagoguery of business is nonstop by Congress.
Let’s expose the huge myth on businesses and taxes. A myth Congress doesn’t want you to know. Businesses DO NOT pay taxes. What they do is transfer money they collect from you to the government.
Embedded in the cost of everything buy and the services you pay for are the taxes the businesses will transfer to the government. When you buy the product or pay for the service you are paying the tax. Taxes are hidden in everything you buy.
Members of Congress think the hard working taxpaying Americans are stupid. Day after day they berate some segment of business for not paying their fair share of taxes.
Our Washington officials know that business taxes are really a hidden tax on “We the People.” They know they have to be selective and careful raising people’s taxes. Then they raise the taxes by on us by raising business taxes.
Is it time to look at our tax system and the IRS? Are there ways to tax that are more equitable? Instead of taxing and punishing achievement with income taxes is it time to change to a consumption tax? ? Is it time to look at FairTax? Using FairTax and a Congress that isn’t spending wildly we can balance the budget.
