Obama Looks Bad Attacking Chamber Of Commerce
YouTube: Axelrod Asked, “is this the best you’ve got?”
Daily Barack Obama is making himself look bad. Now a feeble attempt to help Democrats by attacking the Chamber of Commerce is making Obama look weak and helpless. Even the New York Times has said there is no basis or fact to the flimsy allegation. The Democrats should run on Obama’s and their own record.
"This is a threat to our democracy..." This is a dispatch in the e-mail from Organizing for America which is Obama's website. "'This is a threat to our democracy…And if we just stand by and allow the special interests to silence anybody who’s got the guts to stand up to them, our country's going to be a very different place.' That's what the President just said about the Chamber of Commerce, a right-wing group spending $75 million to beat Democrats this fall, and reportedly taking money from foreign corporations -- some even owned by foreign governments."
Should Obama explain the $100 million + the unions are spending supporting the socialist Democrats? Should Obama explain they get money from overseas? Should Obama explain union members themselves have no voice in who gets political money from the unions?
Bob Schieffer, who is eager to support Obama’s agenda at CBS News, basically said to David Axelrod, "Is this the best you've got for me this morning?" And Axelrod says, "Yeah! They've gotta prove that there isn't foreign money involved." I thought you were presumed innocent in America. Why do the Republicans and the Chamber have to prove Obama and the Democrats are lying? They made the accusation. They should have to prove it and they can’t.
A YouTube video of Bob Schieffer of CBS ripping David Axelrod over the stupid assertions the Democrats are now trying to spread:
Schieffer: Do you...? (groans) I guess I would put it this way: If the only (chuckles) charge three weeks into the election that the Democrats have make is that somehow this may or may not be foreign money coming into the campaign, is that the best you can do?
Axelrod: The Republican Party and these interest groups who are now the major force in some of these campaigns want to turn the clock back to the very same policies that got us into this mess in the first place; that, eh, exploded our deficits, that put the special interests in control to write their own rules -- the oil industry, Wall Street, insurance industry -- that presided over economic policies that punish the middle class. Why is the oil industry, the, uhhh, Wall Street and others, spending this kind of money to defeat candidates and elect others in this sort of secretive way? And, eh, uh, you know, that is a threat to our democracy.
The true facts are Wall Street and big business in 2006 and 2008 contributed heavily to the Democrats. The Democrats got about $4 to every $1 the Republicans did.
The Democrats have controlled Congress for years and the presidency for 2 years. Let’s see them defend the largest deficits in history and unemployment over 9. 6% which when you count underemployed and stopped looking is over 17%.
Which party are you going to vote for in 20 days? The Paycheck Party or the Food Stamp Party? Freedom or socialism?
