Obamacare’s First Murder

FDA Helps Death Panels

Barack Obama through the FDA has his first Obamacare murder.  How many more will there be.  The Democrats couldn’t get death panels past America in Obamacare.  No problem for Obama.  He just uses his administration to accomplish what he couldn’t do in Congress.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) revoked its regulatory approval of the drug Avastin to treat late stage, metastatic breast cancer. Each year, the practicing oncologists chosen by 17,500 American women to save them from their life-threatening, heavily progressed cancer prescribe Avastin to treat them.

The FDA explained that it was revoking approval of the drug for that use because it decided that the drug does not provide "a sufficient benefit in slowing disease progression to outweigh the significant risk to patients."

The drug is prescribed for women who are otherwise going to die from cancer unless the drug saves them at least for a time. The far greater risk to these women is from the FDA, not the drug.  The FDA is blatantly putting Obamacare and the drug cost above the help to women.

Contrast the FDA's elitist, authoritarian, Ruling Class explanation for its bureaucratic dictate with the real world words of Josh Turnage.  His mother has breast cancer.  Josh’s story was told in a New York Post commentary on December 15 entitled "Don't Kill the Drug That Saved My Mom."

Obama, his administration, nor the other Democrats care how many die.  Obamacare has never been about better health care for Americans.  It’s about controlling you.  When your medical condition becomes to expensive to treat, in their eyes, you become dispensable.

Obama has his death panels.  Real Americans suffer and get poorer health care.
