Obama & Holder Forcing NC Town To Change Election Rules
Obama Afraid Voters Will Reject Democrats
In Barack Obama and Eric Holders world the New Black Panthers intimidating white voters is acceptable. At the same time though a North Carolina city can’t have non-partisan elections because it may prevent some black Democrats from being elected.
Obama and Holder are now pitting the DOJ against Kinston, NC. The residents of the North Carolina city cannot make their municipal elections nonpartisan because the Obama administration representatives don't like the possible outcomes that could result. Even more ridiculous is a federal judge agrees with Obama’s DOJ.
Kinston's plan was simple: make the elections nonpartisan so that voters would choose a name, not a political party. However, the U.S. attorney general ordered the election results voided because "removing the partisan cue in municipal elections will, in all likelihood, eliminate the single factor that allows black candidates to be elected to office."
Barack Obama's Justice Department says if the affiliations are left off, a few white voters might not know who the Democrat was, and they might vote for a member of another party, the federal officials warned, and that can't be allowed.
Several citizens challenged the order in court, and now a judge has turned them back without ruling on the issue itself. The judge said the citizens – taxpayers and voters in the city – had no "standing" to challenge how their own elections are run.
A federal judge has said the citizens of a city can’t decide how the elections are done in their city. Many cities across America have non-partisan local elections. Will Obama’s DOJ and federal judge now go after all these cities?
