The Economy Will Correct Itself

In his two years in office Barack Obama has either shown his total incompetence or he has done all he can to destroy America’s economy.  Stimulus plot after stimulus plot has mired us in $5 trillion of debt.

In his State of the Union address last week Obama’s only suggestions were to ‘invest’ i.e. spend more tax dollars increasing the deficit.  Does Obama have any comprehension of a capitalist economy?

We at SpeakNowAmerica and SpeakNowConservatives have said for the last two years if Obama and the Democrats had done nothing our economy would be better now than it is.  The economy can and will correct itself if given the chance.

Obama spent most the State of the Union address paraphrasing Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton.  The speech was dry and in many areas boring.  There wasn’t an original thought in it.

He should have looked deeper and heeded the words of the left’s beloved John F. Kennedy.  Obama though doesn’t understand a capitalist economy.

“It is a paradoxical truth that tax rates are too high and tax revenues to low and the soundest way to raise the revenues in the long run is to cut the rates now….Cutting taxes now is not to incur a budget deficit, but to achieve the more prosperous, expanding economy which can bring a budget surplus.”

Or

“Lower rates of taxation will stimulate economic activity and so raise the levels of personal and corporate income as to yield within a years an increased -– not a reduced -- flow of revenues to the federal government.”

Obama it’s time to cut taxes and leave the economy alone. Cut deficit spending.  Reduce the budget. Obama, Kennedy had it right and you have it wrong.   Give the economy the opportunity to correct itself.  It WILL!!!
