YouTube: Democrat Representative Has It Backwards

Representative Rob Andrews (D-NJ) said that increasing oil drilling “off the coast” is “a problem, not a solution” to creating jobs in the United States. Appearing at a press conference with Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) on job creation, Andrews said, “I agree with my colleague and friend that drilling for oil off the coast is a problem, not a solution…..”

Wasserman said, “We need to be reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and, in general, specifically, we need to reduce our dependence on oil, foreign oil. But adding to our dependence on fossil fuels is not the answer.”

“We need to be taking a long-term view,” she said. “It’s been proven over and over again that there would no immediate return on a reduction in gas prices or a significant expansion of our energy resources by beginning drilling for more oil right now -- and that to me is not the real responsible way to explore creating jobs.”

In 2008 that was Pelosi and the Democrats reason for not drilling.  They said it would  take years for the oil to make a difference.  Well now it has been years.  The Democrats refused to let oil producer’s drill then and now we are in worse shape than in 2008.

Not only will it stop our sending dollars to the Middle East, drilling will create jobs.   .  There is NO viable option for oil now and we need the oil for America to survive.

The Democrats need to explain how Barack Obama goes to Brazil and praises them for oil drilling in the Gulf yet won’t issue permits for Americans to drill.  Why is America giving Brazil the money to drill with and not allowing drilling in America?  The Democrats want America to suffer.
