Obama Economy Strikes Again

An Ohio restaurant mentioned last week by Barack Obama as an indirect beneficiary of the government's Chrysler bailout will go out of business Sunday after a more than 70-year history.  Co-owner Richard Lawrence of New Chet's Restaurant in Toledo says business has fallen victim to the economy and the workplace smoking ban approved by Ohio voters in 2006. He said that auto industry cutbacks also hurt.

Obama visited the plant last Friday and told workers that without them, who would eat at Chet's or patronize other local businesses?  Maybe before using the restaurant as an ad for his economy he should have found out the desperate financial condition it was in.

The Chrysler bailout is a farce.  We, American taxpayers lost money on the bailout.  The Obama controlled bankruptcy of Chrysler left secured credit holders of Chrysler debt out in the cold to give money to the unions.  He also doesn't mention that now Chrysler's corporate headquarters is outside of America to avoid our taxes.

Make no doubt about it.  This is Barack Obama's economy.  He has been president for two and a half years.  He had a Democrat controlled legislature until January of this year.  He only has himself, the Democrats, and his socialist agenda to blame now.

Obama brags about non-existent successes.  He brags about non-existent jobs he has saved or created.  America will again be successful when Obama and his socialist agenda are replaced.
