YouTube: Rubio Challenges President & Senate Democrats On "Cut, Cap, & Balance"

Last Friday the Senate voted to "table," or kill, a House Republican proposal to "cut, cap and balance" the budget that Majority Leader Harry Reid called the single worst piece of legislation ever to hit the Senate floor.

The House Republican "Cut, Cap and Balance" is now over. It's done, dead," Reid said after the 51-46 vote.

Harry Reid is ignorant. The worse legislation ever to hit the Senate floor is a tossup. Both pushed through the Senate by Reid in very partisan votes. They are the stimulus plan which helped get us in this deficit crisis and Obamacare. Both have hurt the economy.

This was an excellent speech. It should be required watching by ALL 99 other Senators! It was concise and informative (and can you believe it, completed without the use of a teleprompter!)

The Democratic criticism of the plan, which would require a Balanced Budget Amendment to be voted on after cutting federal spending and capping the amount Congress could increase future expenses without corresponding cuts, infuriated Republican members who say it is exactly what Barack Obama asked for in a debt deal.

Obama and the Democrats don't like it because they can't spend America into total destruction if we had a balanced budget amendment. They would have to cut pork and stop buying votes.
