Democrats Need People Poor

The Tea Party stands for smaller government, a return to the Conservative Values that built this country, less spending, decentralized control, religious freedom, family-values, personal responsibility, etc..

Which of the following Core Principles of the Tea Party do you oppose?

• Limited federal government

• Individual freedoms

• Personal responsibility

• Free markets

• Returning political power to the states and the people

About half of American income earners pay no federal taxes, or receive a "tax rebate" (welfare check), so it doesn't surprise me that when a poll asks them, "Are you in favor of smaller government, more personal responsibility, less government spending?", they would answer "no". If "H**l No! was a possible answer, I'm sure they would select it.

In 2007, about 38 percent of households paid no federal income tax, a figure that jumped to 49 percent in 2008, according to estimates by the Tax Policy Center. Yet, somehow, all we hear from the left and the media is how "the rich" need to pay "their fair share".

"I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. Look at what has happened here and in Europe.  The more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer."

The left is afraid of the Tea Party.  The Democrats have nothing if they can't keep people poor and in need of government handouts.  That is why they are so fearful of the Tea Party.  The Tea party believes in helping people help themselves.
