Will Rangel Pay His Taxes?

The Democrats in their effort to pursue their socialist agenda for America have no morals or ethics.  Charlie Rangel (D-NY) along with many other Democrats are tax cheats.  Rangel and tax cheat Tim Geithner have an excuse.  They made a mistake and didn't know they owed taxes.  At least Warren Buffett who said "I don't pay as much in taxes as my secretary" has just refused to pay over $2 billion in past due taxes and is fighting the IRS.

Last Wednesday he called for the redistribution of America's riches and hammered the wealthy for benefiting from a war effort fought by the poor and middle class.  Citing statistics that show 1% of Americans now own 42% of the nation's wealth, the lawmaker representing Harlem said: "There is something wrong with that formula."

"Why is it that we know, or that we can suspect, that in this war where we lost so many lives, that so many people have been wounded, that our brave men and women coming home will subject themselves with a lack of funds to deal with their physical or mental problems?" he asked. "And yet we somehow know that that 1% was not involved in defending our great nation."

"We can almost know without any investigation that the wealthiest of Americans never found themselves protecting our flag," he added.

"If we have the other 99% of the people who are not wealthy, and if it was possible for them to get a fair shake and have more expendable income, you wouldn't have to put out ads for them to buy," he said.

Representative Chris Murphy (D-CT) spoke after Rangel and argued and the U.S. as a nation is not broke, even though the federal government is broke. the U.S. is effectively keeping the federal government broke by not taxing the wealthy, he said.

"Despite what you hear on TV, despite what you hear on Fox News today, taxes as a percentage of GDP today are at a 60-year low," Murphy said.

Rangel and Murphy are millionaires.  We already know Rangel is a tax cheat.  What is worse is Murphy's lie on taxing the rich.  If you taxed all earnings over $100,00 at 100% it would only cover about four months of the deficit.  The problem is government spending.  The socialist agenda as it is everywhere else is a failure in America.  You can't keep giving non workers benefits on the backs of tax payers.

Redistribution of wealth does NOT work.
